Simon was appointed Head of the Digital Skills Partnership at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in 2017. The Partnership was announced in the government’s Digital Strategy and brings together a wide range of public, private and charity sector bodies working together to help individuals and organisations gain the digital skills that a thriving, inclusive economy requires.
He previously worked in Digital Inclusion policy management at the Government Digital Service, and prior to that, in the development of digital skills and employability programmes with the Department for Work and Pensions.
In his spare time he can be found watching Newcastle United lose football matches.
